Will my newborn get a Trump Account through the hospital?

Social Security said in July 2026 it would help states update the hospital forms parents use to request a baby’s Social Security number so that they include the automatic creation of a Trump Account. Since October 2026, Social Security also mails an insert with newborns’ Social Security cards explaining how to claim the account in the Trump Accounts app. Either way, you still need to claim the account and, for babies born 2025–2028, elect the $1,000 with Form 4547.
