Invest America reports that $250 deposits were made for eligible children born January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2024 in qualifying ZIP codes. Its final median-family-income threshold is $117,300 or less; eligible children on military bases were also included. This is based on ZIP code data, not your family’s income. Use its ZIP checker, then check the claimed account’s history to confirm your child’s actual deposit.
The December 2025 announcement said $150,000. Invest America says the final limit is $117,300 because the gift reached 25 million children at that level.
